How to ReWyld

A long, long time ago… I was burnt out. Classic hardworking, gotta perform and do it all to get ahead kinda upbringing. My path took me down some funny detours along the way, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to study and pursue opportunities throughout which enrich my philosophical and spiritual practices that have helped me shift my values. Right now I think it’s more important than ever to quiet the chaos, slow down, and figure out who you are, so you can determine what you are here to be doing to help. We know history repeats itself, and now seems like a relatively dire time to get involved and save our lands, our democracy, and the lives of the future.

I believe we are operating at an entirely too fast pace. As individuals, as society. Anxiety is rampant, our attention spans are currently less than that of a gold fish (8 seconds..), and instead of being able to enjoy this human experience, we are always on to the next thing. Exhausted, depleted, and without much motivation to choose differently.

So we rewyld. We get back to the rhythms of nature. We are nature, after all. Many women are starting to do it by taking themselves off synthetic birth control and connecting more naturally to their hormonal cycles. We are leaning more into the joys of the seasons- getting back to a “90’s summer”. We’re battling capitalism with simplicity and whimsy. We are establishing boundaries and being decisive with our time. We’re noticing the quality of our life. The air we breathe, the people we surround ourselves with, time spent on a screen vs time spent in nature. My hope is for you to heed that little voice inside that itches to have your bare feet in the grass, to be swinging on a hammock watching the trees above rock back and forth, to sit under the stars and actually see them. To walk up the mountains, dip in the lakes, and be with your chosen people.

To rewyld, is to give yourself the gift of time. Time as you see fit. Perhaps driving a mountain pass and stopping to take pictures of summer snow, or wild flowers, or hike a 14er and rinse off in the back of the van- nothing quite like an outdoor shower. To be out of cell service. To follow the random sign down the dirt road to see where it takes you. To dip in the hot springs, and make a delicious meal. To sleep. To sleep comfortably, soundly, peacefully. To wake up with the sun, or to the smell of coffee and bacon. To treat your senses to the most natural, grounding energies so that you to become more grounded.

To rewyld, you must learn to know yourself, stretch your stance, and do the thing you’ve been itching to do. Take the van out solo. Host the girls trip, and come back fulfilled and with new stories. Host the family, and pass on the tradition of hiking and gathering. To rewyld is to give yourself what you need to show up in your life as your most authenetic, most nourished, best version of you. So we can make sure the future can enjoy this one precious human experience too.
